One of QuickZoll's most appreciated features is that it does not require registration. This means anyone can use it to declare goods purchased abroad for personal use or gifts, without having to stop in long queues at border crossings to fill out traditional paper declarations, as the BAZG explains.
Furthermore, QuickZoll can also be used offline, unless payments for customs duties need to be made, which require an internet connection.
It is important to note that the app is not suitable for complex declarations, such as those regarding the importation of vehicles, which must still be handled by customs personnel.
Another notable advantage of QuickZoll is its usefulness at minor border crossings, even when they are closed. These include Stabio, Maslianico, Bissone, and other secondary crossings that are not always manned.
